Salt Lake Hillier is located on the edge of the Middle Island covered by dense forests. One of hundreds of small islands are scattered along the southern coast of Western Australia. Its special feature is bright pink color that has never changed. The lake is about six hundred meters long and it is separated from the ocean by a narrow strip of land covered with vegetation. Studies of this lake has shown that there is no algae, and to this day remains a mystery what makes the lake pink.
